The DDM800 Universal Fire & Gas Detector Module is an MZX addressable module designed to monitor and signal alarms from:
- One or two conventional 2-wire spur circuits
- One conventional 2-wire loop circuit
- One or two 4-20mA sensors
The DDM800 module may be used to connect zones of existing conventional 20V detectors and interface them with an MZX addressable fire alarm system. The detectors in these zones, however, will not be individually addressed.
The DDM800, a double sided printed circuit board (PCB), is available in the following configurations:
- PCB module
- PCB module fitted to M520 cover for use with an MK backbox
- PCB module fitted to D800 IP55 housing
- PCB module fitted to Exd housing
The DDM800 has an integral MZX loop isolator. When a section of the MZX loop adjacent to the DDM800 is shorted, the isolator trips, isolating the shorted section, the yellow LEDs illuminate. This status remains until the short is removed.
The DDM800 may be fitted to an ANC-8 Ancillary housing or DIN rail mounting for fitting in a suitable electrical backbox. Alternatively it may be custom mounted on standoffs.
Features:
- Operates from either MZX loop power or an external PSU.
- Contains an integral MZX loop isolator.
- Can be configured as Class B (spur) or Class A (loop).
- Can be configured for BS5839 detector removal.
- Can be configured for fast callpoints operation (interrupt).
- Can be configured to suit current sinking or current sourcing 4-20mA sensors.
