The BDCOM S5800 series switch is a new generation of high-performance data center all-Gigabit TOR switch launched by Shanghai BDCOM Co., Ltd. for high-performance cloud computing, data centers and high-end campus networks. The S5800 series adopts advanced hardware architecture design to provide the industry’s highest switching performance and rich data center service features.
The S5800 series supports up to 2.56Tbps switching capacity. The 1U machine supports up to 48 10G ports + 2 40G ports + 4 100G ports, or 72 10G ports.
In order to meet the needs of cloud computing data center network resource pooling, the S5800 series supports rich BVSS (Boda Virtual Switching System Technology) virtualization features and data center features such as TRILL, SDN, and FCoE/FC. Cooperating with BDCOM S9500 series data center core switches, it can realize the access of 15,000+ 10 Gigabit servers, providing a complete network solution for ultra-large data centers.
S5800 series is equipped with BDROS 6-generation operating system with BDCOM’s independent intellectual property rights. On the basis of providing high-performance L2/L3/L4 wire-speed switching services, it further integrates IPv6, MPLS VPN, network security, traffic analysis, virtualization, etc Network services, combined with multiple data center high-reliability technologies such as uninterrupted upgrades, uninterrupted forwarding, graceful restart, and redundancy protection, ensure the longest uninterrupted communication capability of the network.
